THE PECULIARITIES OF TIMBER FRAMEWORK
Wood is one of the oldest, reliable building materials known to man and ensures a comfortable indoor climate, yet, its upkeep is much more demanding than that of other modern materials. This is especially so in half-timbered buildings since the exterior wooden framework, specific to this style of building, is constantly exposed to strong weather conditions. Over time, this constant exposure can lead to stress cracks into which moisture and rainwater can penetrate causing severe damage to the wood.

Gerne können wir Ihnen mitteilen, daß ich die Lixum Fachwerklasur absolut weiterempfehlen kann. Die Sanierung unseres über 300 Jahre alten Fachwerkhauses im historischen Ortskern hat viel Spaß gemacht. Alles wieder so herzustellen, wie es ursprünglich einmal war und das alte Häuschen in neuem Glanze erstrahlen zu lassen. Nicht zuletzt wegen der tollen Farbe, mit der das Fachwerk wieder erstrahlt. Man hat auch ein gutes Gefühl mit natürlichen Stoffen zu arbeiten und für Allergiker ist das noch beser weil auch kein Geruch entsteht. Auch die Hirnholzlasur versiegelt die anfälligen Stirnseiten sehr schön mit Wachs. Wir haben uns inzwischen mit sämtlichen Produkten von Ihnen identifiziert uns benutzen die Lasuren angefangen vom Wohnzimmertisch, das Carport und für sämtliche Holzbauten im Garten. Wir werden weiterhin ein treuer Kunde bleiben und nehmen im nächsten Jahr das nächste Fachwerkhaus in Angriff. In diesem Sinne möchten wir uns für die guten Produkte, die gute Beratung , die gute Zusammenarbeit und die schnellen Lieferungen bedanken.
